Cenin

The Project

Cenin is a pioneering and award winning company which is helping to reduce the growing global problem of excessive CO2 emissions by manufacturing a range of ultra low-carbon cement replacement products.

The project was to construct a ground mounted photovoltaic energy farm to provide renewable energy to Cenin’s production system in line with their zero carbon commitment.

The problem

Cenin’s carbon policy requires the use of renewable energy where possible.

The age of the building coupled with the fragile nature of the materials precluded the use of traditional roof mounted PV system.

Sourcing a suitable contractor in the UK with the competence and resource to undertake this installation meant compliance with the CDM regulations was pushed.

The Solution

SQE sourced and verified a suitably competent and resourced contractor from Germany.

Bringing competence technological capabilities and organisational skills the contractor completed a highly successful project.

SQE managed the health and safety on site, the CDM Coordinators role and ensured full compliance throughout the works.

Our team ensured communication was maintained throughout and any cultural variance or legislative interpretation was not compromised in delivering the project.
